Cookie policy

Draft for counsel review — not yet published. Rewritten 21 September 2026 to describe what the marketing site and the application actually set, now that the application exists. The short version: one essential cookie, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party requests, and therefore no consent banner. No open questions remain on this page — the one there was, about Google Fonts, was resolved by self-hosting the font rather than by writing a paragraph about it. It needs a solicitor to confirm the reasoning, and the contact address filling in.

1. The short version

This website sets no cookies at all, and makes no requests to any third party. The application at app.automateddecisionmaking.com sets one cookie, to keep you signed in. We use no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind, on either. Because the only cookie we set is strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for, we do not show a consent banner — under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, consent is not required for that kind of cookie.

2. This marketing website

No cookies. No analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. No third-party requests of any kind — every font, stylesheet, script and image on this site is served from this domain. Visiting a page here tells nobody but us that you did.

Until 21 September 2026 the pricing page loaded a typeface from Google Fonts, which meant your IP address reached Google's servers before you had agreed to anything. We now serve that font ourselves, so that no longer happens.

3. The application

The cookie is marked HttpOnly, so scripts cannot read it; Secure, so it is only ever sent over an encrypted connection; and SameSite=Lax, which stops other sites using it. It contains a signed session reference, not your personal details.

4. If that changes

If we ever add analytics or anything else that is not strictly necessary, we will put a consent banner in place first, and it will ask before setting anything rather than after. We will update this page at the same time. We have no current plan to do so.

5. Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie will stop you signing in, because it is what keeps you signed in — there is no way around that.
