About

Built for the gap between a live legal duty and a finished rulebook

Since 5 February 2026, automated decisions across UK recruitment, lending, insurance, housing, health, education, the public sector and ordinary workplace tools have sat inside a new legal regime — and the statutory code that will eventually settle every detail of it isn't expected before 2027 at the earliest. Most of the businesses affected are not resourced to track that gap themselves. The ICO's own audits keep finding the same pattern, sector after sector: organisations that assumed they weren't doing automated decision-making, and were.

The Automated Decision Making Company exists to close that gap — not by guessing at what the final rules will say, but by building each assessment directly against primary sources, re-verified against legislation.gov.uk and the regulator's own published findings, and by being explicit, in every report, about what's enacted law and what's still draft guidance. We started with recruitment, because that's where the ICO looked first and hardest. The same engine now extends across every industry where a machine gets to say yes or no about a person.

The product rule

What this platform will never claim

  • That a business is "legally compliant" — the report states assessed risk, not a compliance certificate
  • That draft regulator guidance is settled law — every finding is labelled with its actual legal status
  • That an enforcement precedent exists against a named provider, unless and until one genuinely does
  • That the tool replaces a solicitor for case-specific advice — defined high-risk cases are always routed to legal review
